about us: Located a few miles south of Twisp, Northern Farms is a 5-acre farm where Autumn Jateff lives with her husband, Bill, and their two kids. Both Autumn and Bill grew up in the Methow Valley and dated in junior high school. After graduating and seeing the world, Autumn and Bill met up again, got married, and moved home to build a house and start a family. Now, both Jateff children love to help plant the flower seeds, move sprinklers, and create flower arrangements.
Autumn’s educational background is in apparel design but she is now a self-taught florist and event coordinator, in addition to being a flower farmer. Autumn believes that flowers are a great way to make life better and she enjoys being able to help add beauty to people’s lives through flowers. A few of her favorite flowers to grow are Bells of Ireland, celosia, and Queen Anne’s Lace, as well as dahlias, which she calls “a labor of love—but so beautiful, they’re worth it.”
